Tromso Aurora Experience

Arrive in the Arctic city of Tromso, known as the Gateway to the Arctic.

Upon your arrival, check in to your hotel. You have the rest of the day free to begin exploring the charming city center, dine at one of the local eateries, or simply relax in the comfort of your hotel room.

Enjoy a free afternoon to yourself. In the evening, head to the meeting point where your adventure begins.

From here, you will be transferred to Camp Tamok, a remote wilderness center located in one of the most scenic regions of Northern Norway. After a brief safety briefing and driving instructions, embark on an exhilarating snowmobile adventure to search for the Northern Lights.

Experience breathtaking mountain views and winter landscapes as you ride under the magical aurora borealis, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The tour includes transportation from the meeting point, winter suits and boots, helmets, a hot meal, and a warming drink.

Note: This snowmobile tour operates from December through March. Don’t forget to bring your driver’s license to participate.

After a relaxed breakfast, you have the day free to explore at your own pace.

Later in the evening, join a special Northern Lights cruise. This unique experience allows you to view the aurora borealis while surrounded by the calm waters of the fjords, ensuring a perfect, secure setting for this awe-inspiring natural phenomenon. A light dinner will be served during the cruise.

Following the cruise, you'll be transferred back to the meeting point and walk back to your hotel.

Note: The cruise is available from mid-September to mid-March.

After breakfast, get ready for a spectacular whale safari, a group tour that offers an unforgettable experience.

During winter, large whales often approach the coast of Northern Norway, providing a unique opportunity to observe them up close. You’ll board a hybrid catamaran for a peaceful, "silent" journey to the whale-watching site. The boat runs on electric mode to avoid disturbing the wildlife.

Marvel at the incredible Northern winter landscape and spot wildlife like whales, orcas, seals, and sea eagles. Don’t forget your camera for some fantastic photographs!

Note: This tour operates from November to the end of January. If you travel outside this period, the tour will be replaced with a self-drive dog sledding experience.

After breakfast, enjoy a magical reindeer safari through a pristine winter forest on a traditional sleigh ride.

Following the 20-30 minute sleigh ride, immerse yourself in the fascinating Sami culture, the indigenous people of the North. You’ll meet the Sami, try typical foods, see traditional artefacts, and hear stories about their lifestyle and joiks, traditional Sami songs. You will also learn about the significance of the reindeer sleigh as a key part of Sami heritage and the oldest form of transport in the region.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to the meeting point and walk to your hotel.

Note: The reindeer safari is available from November to early April.

It’s time to bid farewell to Tromso and your incredible Arctic adventure. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
